A milestone

Sorry it's been a slow blog week. I've actually been busy at work. Shocking, me working at work - I know.

I'll be posting pictures from our trip to KC over Labor Day weekend soon. I just haven't had the chance yet.

Incidentally, last Monday was our 1 year anniversary. I can't believe how quickly time flew by. In just one year, so much has happened. We've continued doing and creating shows, I got a promotion, Corey a new job and we bought our first condo. It's been a great year and I'm sure, with someone as wonderful as Corey, each year after will continue to get better.

We actually flew back from KC on Monday, the actual anniversary date. To celebrate, we took the next day off work. It was so nice just to sleep in and relax all day. The plan was to go on a picnic, maybe at the beach, but it looked like it was going to rain all day. Instead we stayed in and played Rummy Q (a fun tile version of the card game Rummy - only awesomer). Yep, we got the old married couple thing down - sitting at home playing board games.

That night we went to The Drake Brothers restaurant in the Drake hotel for dinner. On Tuesday nights, they have buy one steak get the second for a penny. Are we cheap, no way? I'm not ashamed that we saved money. Besides it was a great meal. They know how to make a steak and their chipotle corn is amazing. Not only do we love each other, we loves us some meat!
