My Coccyx

My coccyx is killing me.

Wait a second, I should explain. I like to slide. We have hardwood floors and a long hallway and frankly, I like to slide. Don't judge me, you would to if you lived here. While wearing socks, you build up some speed and you just slide. It's fun. Except when your feet go out from under you and you bite it. And you hurt your coccyx.

That's what I did last night. To someone just watching (Monique), I'm sure it was hilarious (she laughed SO hard). For me, well let's just say I have to do a little shifting in my seat at work these days.

I'll be fine, I'm not sitting on one of those donut cushions and I didn't have to go to the emergency room. I can't imagine how they x-ray your coccyx, but that's beside the point. My pride was hurt a little, but overall this truly has been a pain in the ass.

My friend in college broke his coccyx. Split it like a hot dog bun. And there was nothing they could do about it. Last time I saw him, he said it still hurt sometimes.

i don't think mine is broken, because it's getting a little better each day. still sore, though. i bit it hard.

Sorry you fell Clums . . . I mean "Corey." I'm sure you did bite it hard - but not nearly as hard as reading about it made me laugh ;)

Put some butter on it.

You have no idea how hard he fell. It was like the movies, legs up in the air and everything. I first had to make sure he was ok, because I wanted to bust out laughing right away. Once he confirmed that he could move and hadn't hit his head on the corner of the counter (thank God), slipped a disk or died, I lost it. Even now just thinking about it I'm cracking up. Corey's a big man and to see a big man fall that hard, well I won't soon forget it.

I think we can all agree that he's lucky. Imagine if he'd fallen back even more comically, rotating a complete 180 degrees and landing on the back of his neck. Then he'd not only be in a lot more pain, it would have been twice as hilarious because the only thing funnier than a big guy falling is an upside down big guy.

I don't know how we'd have dealt with that level of hilarity... I mean I'm glad you're okay.

I bet that was as funny as the time Corey put on Dan's coat and danced around signing, "big guy in a little coat, big guy in a little coat.."

Maybe we should go to White Castle and get you some 'sliders'?

Ha! Yeah, I said it!...

Man, I'm tired.
